A Collect for Healing
'And behold, there was a woman who had had a disabling spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not fully straighten herself. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your disability.” And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God.' - Luke 13:11-13 (ESV)
Great physician, who formed us and knows our workings, each of us bears weaknesses and hurts that prevent us from standing fully straight in some way. Bring healing to our broken bodies and hearts, and give us the patience and support to bear under our infirmities when you are still working through them, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives with you and the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen.
