A Collect to Receive the Word of the Lord

Spirit of Truth, who speaks to us because the Father has given you words, soften our hearts to hear what you are saying, that we would receive the words of the Lord and trust in you and what you are calling us to do and become, through Jesus Christ, who with you and the Father are in perfect agreement, speaking as one God, now and forever. Amen. ‘ Now they know that everything you have given me is from you; for the words that you gave to me I have given to them, and they have received them and know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.’ – John 17:7-8
