A Lenten Collect to Be Transformed as Christ Was

King of Kings, who was transfigured on the mountain in the sight of your disciples, lead us in your ways, and give us the determination to follow, that we, like you, would be transformed in glory, made like you and your Father through the power of your Holy Spirit, through you who sits enthroned in glory with the Father and Holy Spirit. Amen. ‘Six days later, Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain apart, by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became dazzling white, such as no one on earth could bleach them.’ – Mark 9:2-3 What would it mean to be transfigured as Jesus was? All of us are weighed down by sin, but we are being made holy. Is the Spirit leading you in a particular way right now along the path toward being like the Son? Are there things you need to continue doing? To lay aside? To take up? What are you being called to do along the path right now?
